Wolf Garden, marketed as a werewolf film blending “An American Werewolf in London” with “Vertigo,” diverges from the typical genre conventions. Instead of relying on impressive special effects, it opts for a slow-burning psychological thriller. Writer/director Wayne David takes on the lead role as William, a man haunted by a disastrous countryside vacation with his girlfriend Chantelle. The narrative jumps back and forth between past, present, nightmares, and questions of reality, challenging viewers to piece together the puzzle.
